Flow Measurement of Sour Gas

Amine treating plants remove CO₂ and H₂S from natural gas. Sour or Acid gas is very corrosive and causes frequent failure of wetted flow meters or requires very costly designs to withstand the harsh conditions.

FLEXIM's non-invasive ultrasonic clamp-on flow meter technology offers a distinctive advantage to traditional flow meter technologies such as dP or Coriolis meters. The clamp-on transducers are simply mounted on the outside of the pipe wall and do not get in contact with the media inside the pipe, thus they are not subject to any corrosion or wear and tear.

Moreover, FLEXIM's clamp-on ultrasonic flow meters are also a very cost effective solution as there is virtually no maintenance required due to permanent pipe wall coupling and the rugged mounting fixtures. Last, the system is also completely independent of the pipe sizing, materials and internal pressurization.
