Flow measurement in a hydropower plant
Flow measurement of water on the DN1600 power line of the Oker Dam power plant of Harzwasserwerke GmbH
With a total capacity of 46.85 million cubic meters of water, the Oker Dam, completed in 1956, is the largest dam operated by the Harz Water Works and at the same time the largest dam in Lower Saxony. It is mainly used for flood control and elevation of low water levels. Via the Oker-Grane tunnel, it also supplies considerable amounts of water for the waterworks of the neighbouring Grane Reservoir.
