Flow measurement of hydrochloric gas
Flow measurement of hydrochloric gas on the DN150 main line to the integrated plant network
On the basis of rock salt from the nearby deposits in Ohrensen, hydrogen and caustic soda are obtained in the Stade plant during the electrolysis process. The chlorine is used as a raw material for a number of other production stages. For example, Dow produces methylene diphenyl-diisocyanate (MDI) at the Stade plant, a precursor for the production of polyurethane. It provides ideal materials for the thermal insulation of heaters or cooling units and is used for sports shoes and clothes or in the automotive industry as a high-tech adhesive or for interior linings.
