Overview

Heavy duty portable clamp-on ultrasonic water flow meter

The FLUXUS F401 is the ideal flow meter for long-term measurement campaigns in the field. Depending on the programmed measurement interval the FLUXUS F401 industrial water flow sensor can operate autonomously for several months. This makes it suitable for leak detection campaigns and hydraulic studies, where regular measurements are needed over a longer period of time.

The clamp-on ultrasonic system has been designed especially to meet the needs of the water and wastewater industries. These heavy-duty flow meters can be installed without process interruption and the installation can be completed within a few minutes. Thereafter, it delivers accurate and highly repeatable measurements that are not affected by drift. Due to its excellent low flow capability (down to 0.03 ft/s), the FLUXUS F401 is ideally suited as a drinking water flow meter, in which low flow velocities are common. The strong signal output and the noise suppression technology make it possible to use the FLUXUS F401 on very large pipes and challenging materials: Old and rusty steel, badly manufactured GRP or even armored concrete pipes (independent of lining and build-up inside the pipe) are not a metering challenge to the FLUXUS F401.

All parts of the FLUXUS F401 have been designed to ensure utmost robustness for regular heavy duty use in rough conditions. The metal sheathing of the transducer cable ends protects them against strong bending or cuts and ensures tangle-free operation. The 20 feet cable length of the NEMA 6P transducers allows for the installation of the transducers even in deep manholes, whereby the transmitter can be placed in the upper part of the manhole. The transmitter is housed in a robust case and has NEMA 6 protection.

All this makes the FLUXUS F401 the ideal companion for the daily work of water suppliers, hydrologists and engineering offices.
