Flow measurements in the demineralisation plant

Flow measurement of demineralised water and an aqueous hydrochloric acid solution (< 3%) on the cation exchanger

CURRENTA‘s most important goal: To ensure a stable security of supply to its customers in the long term. As CHEMPARK Dormagen continues to expand production facilities, the required amount of steam rises. The raw material for steam is demineralised water. Non-desalinated water would lead to calcification of the boiler in no time. In 2015, CURRENTA water supply therefore increased the capacity of the desalination plants in Dormagen by just under 15 percent in the existing plant portfolio. For this purpose, a fourth demineralised water treatment line with a maximum output of 360 m3/h was erected and put into operation in one of the two demineralisation plants.
