Flow measurement of water at the two bottom outlets DN1000 of the Kerspe Dam of Wupperverband

The Kerspe Dam, built between 1908 and 1912, has a capacity of 14.9 million m³ and supplies the city of Wuppertal with drinking water. Its 33.5 m high and 360 m wide dam wall was renovated and reinforced in the 1990s. An inspection walkway and a cut-off wall in front were added at this time. In addition, operating and monitoring equipment was renewed and a small hydropower system with an output of 2 × 68 kW was installed.
