When the going gets hot... or even cold
FLEXIM's high temperature transducers for the direct pipe coupling are capable of withstanding permant pipe tempertaure of up to 392°F. For applications where pipe temperatures are exceeding these limits, FLEXIM engineered the patented WaveInjector.
The WaveInjector thermically separates the ultrasonic transducer from the hot pipe, allowing a permanent, reliable and accurate operation at process temperatures up to 750 °F.

The WaveInjector is the ideal solution for many applications in the Chemical, Petrochemical and related industries as well as in the Oil and Gas sector. It is used by the biggest names in these industries.
The reason is clear: From crude oil to coal tar distillates, WaveInjector remains accurate and reliable under the toughest conditions.
FLEXIM’s WaveInjector can be used as well on extremely cold pipes, with temperatures as low as -250 °F. As the ultrasonic transducers are thermally separated from the cold pipe, their temperature can be kept within the standard operating temperature range.
At such low temperatures, the WaveInjector is used, amongst others, in LNG peak-shaving facilities where surplus natural gas is stored in order to meet the requirements of peak consumption during winter or summer.
For installation, there are no upfront requirements and no process shut-down is neccesary.
Also, maintenance efforts are nearly non-existent.
