The range of application of gas flow transducers depends amongst others on the pipe's wall thickness, diameter and material, as well as on the gas flow velocity.

The standard shear-wave transducers transducers (GS type) can be used in a broad range of pipe sizes and wall thicknesses. Together with G6725 transmitter, they are the ideal tool for service, maintenance, trouble-shooting and for controlling permanently installed meters.

The lamb-wave transducers (GL type), on the other side, are tuned to specific pipe wall thicknesses. They are therefore intended chiefly for permanent installation. The GL transducers are ideal for gas measurement where high flow velocities and attenuative media are encountered.

All FLEXIM clamp-on transducers for gases are watertight and suitable for use in harsh industrial environment. The transducer housings are made of PEEK or PPSU with stainless steel protection caps.
