Update No. 12 is here! As per usual, the current edition of our Update magazine also reports on useful and interesting things from the world of FLEXIM, the world of flexible industrial measurement technology. The subject of the cover story is both useful and new: with the new FLUXUS® F/G 608, FLEXIM presents the world’s first ATEX-certified portable flowmeter.

While Update was being printed, the world’s population surpassed the 7 billion mark. We also know some fellow co-workers in our ever-expanding company who could claim the title of seven billionth citizen for their newly born. Economic prosperity as a healthy basis for operational fertility – this would also have been a nice topic. Instead, the application report focuses on the internal workings of the fertiliser industry. This industry creates the conditions for feeding the world’s population and is an ideal field of application for FLEXIM’s FLUXUS® flowmeter and PIOX® process analysis systems.

The last page deals with superb employees and tried and tested measuring equipment. Finally, the poster on the reverse side shows the acoustic velocity, refractive index and density curves of various dissolved substances and illustrates the process from the transit time difference measurement of ultrasonic signals to the non-invasive determination of mass flows.
