FLUXUS® ADM
Non-intrusive Liquid Flow Meters
Non-intrusive, safe and efficient
The FLUXUS® ADM flow meter measures the flow of liquids non-intrusively through FLEXIM‘s proven clamp-on transit-time correlation technology.
The ultrasonic transducers are simply clamped on to the outside of the pipe and never get in direct contact with the liquid flowing inside the pipe.
For installation, no cutting or welding on the pipe is necessary - process interruption or even process stops are a thing of the past. Also maintenance efforts are kept to an absolute minimum as our ultrasonic flow meters are designed and engineered specifically to the industries needs - ranging from standard industrial applications up to robust measuring solutions for offshore usage in hazardous areas.
With permanent and portable flow meters, FLEXIM's product range is directly driven by customer and industry needs and our focus and dedication is directed towards providing the highest quality equipment with the best support and service possible.
Pushing the limits
Not only the transmitters, but also the ultrasonic transducers are protected against rough environments by stainless steel mounting fixtures (VARIOFIX) as well as steel armored cables, running from the transducers to the flow computer. With the help of special coupling pads, the transducers themselves never loose contact to the pipe wall and thus do not need any type of regreasing.
Transmitters and transducers are available in various explosion hazardous area approved certifications (such as ATEX, IECEx, FM and GOST) and with the help of the patented WaveInjector mounting fixture, FLEXIM also extended the application range of non-intrusive flow metering solutions to high temperatures up to 400°C (as found in refineries or petrochemical industries) as well as extremely low temperatures down to -160°C (as found in LNG applications).
Whether for small pipes starting at 6 mm inner pipe diameter or up to pipes with several meters of diameter - as seen in hydro power plants - the FLUXUS flow meters doesn't know any limitations - this also in regard to inner pipe pressure, pipe material or wall thickness.
Precise, versatile and intuitive
Accuracy and reliability are one of FLEXIM's propositions and are valid for our portable as well as permanent ultrasonic flow meters.
FLEXIM's flow meter transducers are matched and paired as well as temperature compensated, guaranteeing a high zero stability, are nearly drift free and thus achieve a high precision at low as well as high flows velocities.
With more than 1.000 measurement cycles per second, superior measurement algorithms embedded in the flow computer and with the transducers being calibrated at our flow rig in house or directly at the measurement point, FLEXIM's clamp-on systems are not less accurate than inline flow meters, but do not suffer from wear and tear or even clogging inside the pipe.
On the basis of further innovative technologies, such as the Hybrid Trek mode, even high particle loads or gaseous inclusions are not a hurdle for precise measurements of the FLUXUS flow meter. By integrating additional process parameters such as the temperature, even thermal energy quantities can be determined without any intrusion into the piping system. With knowledge of the mediums density, the FLUXUS ultrasonic flow meter is also able to calculate the mass flow rate.
As with the case of our PIOX S measurement system, the non-intrusive solution can be a better alternative the Coriolis flow meters.
At the same time all FLUXUS flow meters share a high degree of commonality as they are based on the same technological platform, offer the user the same intuitive user interface, an automatic and fast transducer recognition and thus ensure a fast and easy set-up.
